"Crazy For You" was my first musical. I started out with a pretty bad role, but by the end of the play it had morphed into the main cowboy. Funny how situations can always be altered if you put a little effort into it (and if you're fairly sneaky.) I had a couple of solos, and it was difficult to adapt my voice from rock to musicals, but by the end I wasn't making people cringe, so that's something. But the highlight for me was the fact that we managed to include my favorite thing of all: a fight scene. There's nothing like a good ol' bar fight to lift your spirits. Most of these pictures were taken by our theatre's biggest supporter, Jim Townley.

In the second weekend of February 2000, we had a festival of student directed one-acts in the theatre department. I went a little bit overboard and decided to put on a stage version of Final Fantasy Tactics, entitled "Final Fantasy Tactics: The Heretic." It was a pretty ambitious project for the festival, especially considering how little time I had to put everything together (and all funds had to come straight out of my pocket, so it cost me a pretty penny.) To be quite honest, it sucked. Nobody in the audience knew what was going on, but it looked pretty and had some good fight scenes. And it taught me what not to do in a one-act. Anyways, here's a few pictures of the cast.

To start off my Senior year, we had two one-act plays about the Holocaust: "Dispatches From Hell" and "I Never Saw Another Butterfly." Most of these pictures were from dinner after the performances, so only a few were in the theatre itself. Oh, and these are also the first pictures in years where my hair's been short.

I'm usually not much for spirit week, but there were two days this year that I just couldn't resist: Twin Day and Decade Day. Somehow, I was able to convince Nate to dress up like me for Twin Day, a real achievement considering how much he hates my clothing. The next day was Decade Day, but rather than go for a decade from the past, I decided to look to the future. To the year 2020. I think the sad part is that I already had all the clothes, I just don't wear them together that often. Also, the Drama Club went bowling dressed up as white trash. Unsurprisingly, we fit right in.
